Davies: “Plaid’s First 100 Days Marred by Broken Promises”

Conservative Senedd member for the Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend Andrew RT Davies has branded Plaid Cymru’s first 100 days in office as “marred by broken promises”.

Mr Davies pointed out key election pledges, such as Plaid’s universal free childcare promise, were no closer to being fulfilled.

He said he had been contacted by several parents across his Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend constituency, who had been expecting access to the free childcare and now feel let down.

NHS waiting lists and waiting times are also up under the new Plaid Cymru administration.

Mr Davies said “nothing has changed” and warned cynical politics like Plaid’s broken promises is the reason public trust in politics has collapsed.

Mr Davies said:

“Plaid Cymru separatists won lots of votes off the back of their uncosted free childcare pledge.

“100 days in, we’re no closer to seeing this policy implemented.

“Just like Keir Starmer, broken promises like this are the reason public trust in politics is at an all-time low.”

Well 100 days of Plaid Cymru in charge after their constant backing of Welsh Labour when they were supposedly in charge of Wales. So what has happened in the last 100 days that has brought a smile to the face of Welsh people? Well in a nutshell – not a lot!! Plaid made quite a song & dance about universal free childcare promise buy if parents are complaining this isn’t actually happening – then Plaid have failed. I’ve commented so often about NHS waiting lists and waiting times but the only thing that has happened there is that both have gone up.

Wales hasn’t seen a change with Plaid in ‘supposed’ control and it is about time Plaid were honest with the Welsh public and explained their poor performance to date. I am sure many people like me are appalled with so many politicians and their broken promises.

There are very few Welsh politicians that we can trust and that can never, ever be right……………..
